Programs are offered free of charge in our home-like setting. We have been able to offer free programs of cancer support, education and hope through the generous support of individuals, corporation grants & foundations and through year-round special fundraising events. We don’t receive any financial support through federal or state government funding, insurance nor any national cancer organizations such as Leukemia-Lymphoma Society or The American Cancer Society.
Programs are available to community members with cancer, family and friends.
Led by cancer survivors and staff members, your first meeting is designed to offer hope and serve as an introduction to The Cancer Support Community programs. No appointment is needed for the scheduled Welcome Meetings…just come in and learn about all our special programs.
Offered every Friday at 11am and every Monday evening at 6:30pm.
For dates and times, call us at (310) 376-3550, fax us at (310) 372-2094, or e-mail us at email@example.com
The Cancer Support Community offers short-term counseling to community members and family members who attend weekly groups. We also offer counseling to those affected by cancer who have not begun attending other activities, such as a weekly group.
The counseling is short-term, about 5 to 10 sessions, and provided by our graduate interns under the supervision of our licensed clinical staff. Before receiving counseling, we request people asking for individual, family or couples counseling attend a Welcome to Wellness / Newcomer’s / Orientation Meeting and attend at least three weekly group meetings before beginning individual counseling.
Please contact Tom May, LCSW, Program Director at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to request counseling.
