We’ve been chosen! Cancer Support Community – Redondo Beach has an opportunity to win a $50,000 grant as part of the Lester & Sue Smith Foundation’s Pink Well Challenge. Spearheaded by Texas Oilman, philanthropist and cancer survivor Lester H. Smith, the Pink Well Challenge is a national fundraising campaign awarding $1 million in grants to organizations engaged in breast cancer research, prevention, treatment and patient support.
Cancer Support Community – Redondo Beach is one of 30 finalists chosen from among applicants throughout the country and is the only nonprofit selected from California.
From January 16 until May 14, Cancer Support Community has the opportunity to receive $190,000 to help support our mission of offering free support programs to cancer patients and their families.

As part of the challenge we’ve created a short video about the organization that will appear on www.Pinkwell.org beginning January 16th. The organization that receives the most votes will receive $50,000. Voters may cast up to three votes each day using Facebook, Twitter and valid email addresses. Voting ends May 15th.
